In 2011, for the second time, Warsteiner brewery was presenting the arts and creativity award "BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER".
Within the framework of the platform "BLOOOM - the creative industries art show.", artists or artist groups have been asked to introduce themselves and their artworks to a jury of well-known figures, including Edo Dijksterhuis (Director of Art Amsterdam) and Walter Gehlen (Director of ART.FAIR). Afterwards, direct contact with BLOOOM visitors also possible. In this manner, Warsteiner and BLOOOM provide young and creative artists with a stepping stone to the professional arts and creativity market.

As the official sponsor of BLOOOM and especially by presenting "BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER", the brewery is once again supporting creative talents in 2011. The premiere of the BLOOOM Award, with 615 participants in 2010, found overwhelming acceptance in the creative art scene. This year, Warsteiner wanted to build on this outstanding launch and was once more looking for young artists of all kinds - not only in Germany but also for the very first time in the Netherlands. Renowned for its lively and internationally networking arts and creative scene, our neighbour state was the ideal place for an expansion in Europe.
Ten finalists plus the "Dutch Winner of BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER" have been awarded the prize at Cologne's Staatenhaus on October 28. Their works could have been viewed in a special exhibition until November 1, 2011.

"BLOOOM - the creative industries art show." is the world's first interdisciplinary presentation platform for artists and art projects in the creative industries.
On this platform, international participants ranging from fine arts, design, music, performing arts, fashion and literature to radio broadcasting, architecture, press, advertisement, software, and games present their latest creations and works.
BLOOOM allows new art forms and media to be presented, providing an opportunity for worldwide exposure at the interface between the art market and the above mentioned creative industry fields as well as with traditional international institutions such as museums and other fairs.
BLOOOM, which takes place with in the same timeframe and space as ART.FAIR, celebrated its premiere in 2010 and managed to present new trends again in 2011.
